The "Mercenary" 15th Century Spaulders

These plate shoulders are part of the Mercenary armor set. All the parts in the mercenary set (which also include the mercenary corrazina, arms, and cuisse) are created in an early 15th century Italian style.

To allow to the spaulders to be pointed to a gambeson or arming doublet, leather arming points are added to the spaulders. I can also include pointing laces to sew onto a gambeson. The spaulders can have a satin, blackened, or oil-blackened finish.  Oil-blackened appears a deeper black than gun blue. These spaulders are made from 16 gauge mild steel with a satin finish.

Price Estimate
  • A pair of spaulders like the ones shown here would cost around $200.
