Belt Suspension for 15th Century Longsword

Not only does Sparks Forge and Armory create items from scratch, we also augment and customize existing pieces. This 15th century longsword came with a suspension system the owner felt was inadequate. I replaced the old hardware and leather with a custom made scabbard suspension system from stainless steel.

 

This scabbard was made made in a fifteenth century style. The belt was based on several originals, like this one in the Dresden Rüstkammer Museum, and was stylized to fit the style of the sword it was made for.
