The "Yeoman" Jack Chains

Jack chains are a relatively uncommon form of protection but are one of the best armors in terms of cost effectiveness. The are extremely lightweight and will block the majority of blows directed at the arms. Supplementary protection like these are seen most commonly in paintings from the late 15th century though have been seen in depictions as early as the mid 14th. This particular set draws its inspiration from the two paintings shown below.

The Jack chains below are part of the "Yeoman" set. The are made to be pointed to a gambeson at three points. The shoulder the elbow and the wrist. Arming points can be added at request for self-sewing. The set shown below has been blackened as opposed to other aspects of the "Yeoman" set which are shown with the munitions finish. Blackening armor can help to prevent rust.
