"La Fleur" Rondel Dagger

Rondel daggers were a popular choice on the battlefield for hundreds of years. Their slender yet stiff blades made it easy to pierce maille and find the gaps in plate armor. The simple rondel guards give the holder a firm grip.

This rondel dagger was supposed to be the perfect day to day dagger for a noble. This dagger gets its name from its rondel guards, each shaped as a "Fleur" or flower, Its elegant design is meant to display grace and beauty without sacrificing any of its deadly functional capability. Its thick spine keeps the double edged blade stiff and its tip is stout enough not to be brittle without sacrificing its penetrative capability.

This dagger is based on an original from Rothenburg with some changes in the material choice made to give it a more elegant and royal feel.

This "Fleur" comes with brass fittings and a purple heart handle. Other options are available such as copper, mild steel, and stainless, as well as a variety of handle materials.
